Nancy muro-rodruiguez
Nancy Muro-Rodriguez is currently pursuing her Ph.D in counseling psychology at the University of Georgia. As a bilingual/bicultural clinician, she has served marginalized communities that may have a hard time accessing mental health services due to systemic barriers or lack of linguistic reasons. In addition to clinical work, she collaborates on research projects addressing issues related to trans-generational trauma, resilience, and multiculturalism. One of her motivators is her brother, Xavier, who was diagnosed with CFC when he was 5 years old.
Nancy and her family have learned a lot in navigating different systems: educational, medical, and legal, because of Xavier and his condition. They are so proud of all the accomplishments Xavier has made over the years. Nancy is excited to serve in the Health Equity Advisory Council.
